Ferris State University softball player Alexis Kozlowski has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Week. Kozlowski, a sophomore first baseman from Gaylord, was recognized for her performance during a series of four games in which her team achieved a 3-1 record.

Kozlowski contributed significantly to her team's success by recording seven hits and six RBIs. Her efforts helped Ferris State sweep Davenport in a home series on Wednesday and earn a split against the first-place team, Saginaw Valley State, on Saturday.

Over the course of the week, Kozlowski maintained a batting average of .538, scored two runs, and achieved one home run. Her performance included a .769 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. Highlights of her week included driving in four runs with a home run in a victory over Davenport and accumulating five hits and two RBIs in a road doubleheader against Saginaw Valley State.

Ferris State University will return to competition at home on Tuesday, April 22, with a rescheduled doubleheader against Wayne State at the FSU Softball Field. The first game is scheduled for 3 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by the second game at approximately 5 p.m. These contests will also serve as part of Senior Day celebrations for the Bulldogs.
