Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team will play its final regular-season home doubleheader against Wayne State University on a new date due to expected weather. Originally scheduled for Friday, April 18, the games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22. They will take place at the FSU Softball Field, with the first game starting at 3 p.m. (ET) and the second following at roughly 5 p.m. (ET).
These games will not only close out the regular season at home for the Bulldogs but also include the annual Senior Day celebrations. The team plans to honor its senior class after the doubleheader.
Before facing Wayne State, Ferris State hopes to complete a makeup doubleheader against Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, April 19, weather permitting.
Ferris State's softball team currently holds a 23-13 record overall and stands second in the GLIAC standings with a conference record of 12-8. The team is also featured in this week's initial NCAA Division II Regional Rankings.
