Weather and field conditions have prompted changes to the Ferris State University softball schedule. Initially, the Bulldogs were set to face Saginaw Valley State in a doubleheader at SVSU on Wednesday. This plan has been postponed due to weather forecasts and unsuitable field conditions.
Ferris State will now host SVSU on Thursday, April 3, at the Ferris State Softball Field in Big Rapids. The doubleheader will start at 3 p.m. (ET) for the first game, with the second game scheduled to begin at approximately 5 p.m. (ET).
The rescheduling also affects their second league doubleheader against SVSU, which will now be played on April 19 in University Center.
Ferris State is coming off a successful Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home sweep against Grand Valley State, a West Michigan rival, on Tuesday. The Bulldogs currently hold a 15-9 overall record.
