Due to anticipated rain, Ferris State University's home-opening softball doubleheader against Purdue Northwest has been rescheduled. Originally set for Saturday, the games will now take place on Friday, March 28, at the FSU Softball Field.

The change in schedule was prompted by forecasts of heavy rainfall over the weekend. The Bulldogs and the Pride were initially scheduled to compete in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twin bill.

The first game on Friday is set to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, with the second game following at approximately 4 p.m. These matches will be Ferris State's inaugural home games of the 2025 season.

Ferris State currently holds a 12-6 record this year and started their conference play with a split against Wayne State on Sunday, highlighted by a commanding 9-1 victory in one of the games.

Before facing Purdue Northwest, Ferris State is scheduled to play Davenport in another conference doubleheader on Wednesday, March 26.

Additionally, weather permitting, Ferris State plans to host Grand Valley State for an afternoon doubleheader on Sunday, March 30.
