Ferris State University's softball team is set to kick off its 2025 season with six games in Hawaii. The Bulldogs will participate in the ULILI Softball Invitational, which runs from February 3 to February 7 in Honolulu.

Under the leadership of third-year head coach Jake Schumann, Ferris State will begin their campaign against Hillsdale on Monday at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. The same day, they will face Lewis (Illinois) with a first pitch scheduled for Tuesday at 1 a.m. Eastern Time.

The team has two more games on Tuesday, playing Nebraska-Kearney at 6 p.m. and Humboldt State at 8 p.m., both in Eastern Time. The Bulldogs conclude the event on Friday with matches against Hawaii-Hilo at 4 p.m. and another game against Lewis at 8 p.m., again in Eastern Time.

Last season, Ferris State finished with 25 wins, marking their highest number of victories in eight years. Despite having only one senior player last spring, the team reached the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. This year, they return with 12 players from last season and have welcomed ten new members, including six freshmen.

After their Hawaiian tour, Ferris State will compete in the Blue Ridge Battle from February 21-23 in Evansville, Indiana. They will then face Ohio Dominican on February 28 and Findlay on March 1 before participating in the USSSA Space Coast Spring Games from March 12-14.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to start GLIAC play against Saginaw Valley State on March 22 and plan to host Purdue Northwest for their home opener on March 29 in Big Rapids.
