The Ferris State University cross country teams hosted the 2024 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan. The event took place on Saturday, October 26, marking the first time since 2016 that Ferris State has hosted the league championships and only the third time since 2003.

In the women's competition, Ferris State finished sixth overall. Senior Hanna Brock led the team by placing 12th in the 6K race with a time of 21:54.0. Junior Whitney Farrell followed closely, finishing 15th with a time of 21:57.6. Other notable performances included Melanea Strauss in 36th place (23:01.4), Jessica Durkee in 40th (23:08.5), and Daisy Englund in 43rd (23:15.5).

On the men's side, Ferris State secured seventh place overall. Junior Cooper Sorsen was the top performer for the Bulldogs, finishing 11th in the 8K race with a time of 24:52.2. Junior Gavin Vansolkema placed 34th (25:43.8), while Ryan Ososki came in at 37th (25:49.8). Senior Noah Griffith and sophomore Ben Knuth rounded out the team's efforts by placing 55th (26:16.4) and 60th (26:24.9), respectively.

Brock, Farrell, and Sorsen earned All-GLIAC Second Team honors due to their individual performances.

This year's event marked only the fourth occasion since 1995 that Ferris State has hosted these championships. The men's championship celebrated its 54th annual occurrence, while it was the women's competition's consecutive run for its 36th year.

The Ferris State cross country teams are coached by Jared Kelsh, a former Bulldog standout now in his tenth season as head coach. The GLIAC Championships served as the final meet of this season before both teams head to Romeoville, Illinois for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships on November 9.
