Davenport University cancels events amid severe weather warnings

Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has announced the cancellation or postponement of several athletic events due to severe weather forecasts. The affected events span from January 12 to January 14.

On Friday, January 12, three hockey games have been postponed: D1 Hockey against Michigan-Dearborn, D2 Hockey at Aurora (IL), and D3 Hockey at Hope.

For Saturday, January 13, the university's teams will not attend several competitions. These include Bowling at Kegel ISBPA Tier 1, Track and Field at the Grand Valley Eubanks Open, Women's Wrestling at Tiffin Duals, Men's Wrestling at Super Region 3 Duals, and Diving at the Kalamazoo Invite. Additionally, two hockey games scheduled for that day have been postponed: D2 Hockey against Hope and D3 Hockey against Aurora (IL).

On Sunday, January 14, both Women's and Men's Basketball games versus SVSU have been postponed. The Swimming and Diving event at Lewis University has been canceled.

The university's decision reflects its commitment to safety in light of adverse weather conditions expected in the area.
