The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and FloSports have announced a significant media rights partnership, marking the largest NCAA Division II rights deal to date. Under this agreement, FloSports will serve as the exclusive streaming platform for GLIAC, broadcasting over 900 games annually across 21 conference sports such as football, basketball, softball, lacrosse, and volleyball. The four-year contract is set to commence on August 25, 2022.
FloSports aims to provide a comprehensive digital platform that enhances the broadcasting experience for fans of GLIAC sports. This collaboration will enable the streaming of championship-winning athletic programs to a broader audience via multiple digital platforms. Fans will have access to live and on-demand content along with additional news and analysis.
This announcement follows FloSports' recent partnership with the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), previously recognized as the largest Division II streaming media partnership. Both GLIAC and SAC are among the first Division II collegiate conferences to secure league-wide partnerships with FloSports as their primary media partner.
"We are thrilled to enter into this landmark collaboration with FloSports," stated GLIAC Commissioner Kris Dunbar. "FloSports' standing as a proven innovator and leader in sports streaming will help to further enhance the conference's status as a front-runner in the realm of NCAA Division II athletics."
Chris Keldorf, Sr. Director of Global Rights Acquisition at FloSports said, "The athletic talent and level of competition within the GLIAC and its member universities represent some of the best in NCAA college sports."
Fans can subscribe annually to FloSports through https://flosports.link/3oPmh5x. Those using a GLIAC member institution domain (.edu) email address may receive a discounted rate. Subscribers gain access not only to GLIAC events but also over 25 vertical sports categories available on various platforms including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, and Chromecast.
