The Bulldog Sports Network, in partnership with Sunny 97.3 FM and Ferris State Television, has announced that the Ferris State Football Crimson & Gold Spring Game will be broadcast live this Friday, April 19. The game will be accessible locally and globally.
Sunny 97.3 FM and FerrisStateBulldogs.com are set to provide a live broadcast starting with pregame coverage at 5 p.m. ET from the Wheeler Pavilion at Top Taggart Field. The commentary team of Rob Bentley and Sandy Gholston will deliver play-by-play coverage as the game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. ET.
In addition to radio coverage, a free video feed will be available through FSU's multimedia portal on YouTube, in collaboration with Ferris State Television and FSU's Television & Digital Media Production program. Fans attending the game can listen to live commentary over the public address system and follow scoring updates via @FerrisFootball on Twitter.
The annual spring game offers fans a chance to see the Bulldogs in action for the first time since their national championship run last fall under head coach Tony Annese. The event will feature modified scoring and timing formats, allowing many younger players to showcase their skills as spring drills conclude.
Admission is free for Friday's spring game, with gates opening one hour before kickoff.
Ferris State has achieved nine consecutive NCAA D2 Playoff appearances, leading nationally in this regard.
