The Center for Student Involvement at Ferris State University is organizing a fan bus trip for students to attend the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Basketball Final Four games. The bus will travel between St. Joseph, Missouri, and Evansville, Indiana, if both teams advance. The return journey to campus will commence after Ferris' last game, potentially following the championship game on Saturday, March 30th.
The cost per room is set at $700 if both teams reach the Final Four, with rooms accommodating up to four people. Students are allowed to bring one guest over the age of 18. Prices will be adjusted if only one team advances. Meals are not included in the package; however, Ferris State Athletics is covering transportation and admission tickets.
Registration begins on Tuesday, March 26th at the Center for Student Involvement located inside the David L Eisler Center. Riders must complete a waiver and registration form and provide a credit card for room charges.
Departure times vary depending on which team advances: 6:00 am on Wednesday, March 27th if the women's team advances or 5:00 am on Thursday, March 28th if only the men's team advances. Final departure times will be communicated via email.
Buses are equipped with restrooms, Wi-Fi (with limited capacity), and electrical outlets. Passengers are advised to download videos beforehand as streaming is not allowed. Headphones are required for audio devices.
Scheduled stops have been arranged during travel for convenience; however, onboard restrooms should be reserved for emergencies only. Each passenger may bring two pieces of luggage—one stored under the bus and one personal item onboard. Prohibited items include weapons, drugs (including marijuana), alcohol, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes.
The return trip will begin after Ferris' final game with timing dependent on game outcomes. Communication regarding updates will be facilitated through GroupMe by each bus coordinator.
