The Ferris State University men's golf team is set to compete in the 2024 Midwest/Central Super Regional from May 9-11 at KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma. Hosted by Southern Nazarene University, the event features 10 teams each from the Midwest and Central Regions, along with four individual competitors from each region.
Teams finishing in the top five, as well as the top two student-athletes not on advancing teams, will qualify for the finals scheduled for May 21-25 at Orange Country National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, Florida. The finals are hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
Ferris State enters as the fourth seed from the Midwest Region after securing an automatic bid by winning this spring's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championship. Other participating teams include top-seeded Grand Valley State and Indianapolis among others.
In previous years, Ferris State has had notable performances including a runner-up finish in 2017 and a third-place tie in 2019 at super regional events. This year marks their 19th appearance in NCAA Tournament play over the past 21 years.
The Bulldogs secured their place this year by claiming their 22nd GLIAC Championship title against Grand Valley State on April 14 in Augusta, Michigan.
