Ferris State competes at Lewis Crossover; prepares for GLIAC Championships

The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Lewis Crossover event on Saturday, October 7, in Romeoville, Illinois. Over 30 schools competed in this annual event. The Ferris State men's team finished 17th overall, while the women's team placed 22nd.

Brendan Cairney led the Bulldog men by finishing 73rd with a time of 25:12.4. Other notable performances for the men's team included Cooper Sorsen in 82nd place (25:16.6), Caleb Branch in 85th (25:17.7), Brandon Wirth in 117th (25:31.6), and Noah Griffith in 133rd (25:40.1).

On the women's side, Hanna Brock was the top performer for Ferris State, finishing in 111th place with a time of 23:07.2. She was followed by Whitney Farrell who came in at 125th (23:17.1), Becci Castillo at 144th (23:27.7), Danae Feldpausch at 158th (23:32.9), and Jessica Durkee at 167th (23:39.4).

Looking ahead, the Bulldogs are scheduled to compete in the GLIAC Championships on October 21 in Houghton.
