Ferris State cross country competes at Lansing Invitational

The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Lansing Invitational on Friday, September 22. The event featured various teams from across Michigan.

The men's team secured seventh place with a total of 251 points. Ben Knuth led the Bulldogs, finishing 44th with a time of 27:38.9. Other notable performances included Ben Degood in 63rd place (28:25.3), Ethan Hamilton in 64th (28:28.5), and Ty Pavlichek in 75th (28:43.4). Jonah Shephard and Andrew Shafley also contributed to the team's effort, finishing 89th (29:09.4) and 94th (29:14.0) respectively.

For the women's team, Kiann Schmottlach finished in 23rd place with a time of 20:20.6, followed by Diana Candela in 28th place at 20:29.4. Emily Plouff came in at 36th position with a time of 20:57.6, while Abigail Winkle placed 98th at 23:00.9.

Both teams are set to compete again on Saturday, September 30, at the Greater Louisville Classic in Kentucky.
