The Ferris State University men's golf team is set to participate in the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships, beginning Tuesday, May 21, at the Orange County National Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida. The championships will take place from May 21-25 as part of the Division II Spring Sports Festival in Orlando.

Twenty teams from across the nation will compete for the title. The opening ceremonies are scheduled for Monday evening, with the first round commencing on Tuesday morning. The tournament format includes three rounds of stroke play from Tuesday through Thursday. An individual champion will be declared after these rounds, based on cumulative scores and tiebreakers.

Following the initial 54 holes, the top eight teams will advance to a bracketed match-play format. Quarterfinals and semifinals are set for Friday, May 24, followed by the championship match on Saturday, May 25. Pairings for quarterfinals include Seed #1 versus Seed #8 and so forth.

Ferris State secured their spot in this year's national championships with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA D2 Midwest/Central Super Regional Championships on May 11 in Edmond, Oklahoma. They concluded with a final-round score of 277 and an overall six-under-par total of 834.

This marks Ferris State's 17th appearance in program history at the national championships and their first since 2019. Historically, they achieved runner-up status at the Midwest/Central Super Regional in Nebraska in 2017 and finished third at the super regional in 2019 before placing 20th overall at nationals.

The Bulldogs have consistently been present at NCAA tournaments over the past two decades, having representation in 19 out of the last 21 years. Their participation ranks among one of the strongest streaks nationally.

Ferris State also claimed its 22nd GLIAC Championship by defeating Grand Valley State on April 14 in Augusta, Michigan.
