Ferris State University's men's golf team participated in the first day of the Doc Spragg Invite in Findlay, Ohio, on Monday. The Bulldogs are currently tied for fifth place after two rounds.
The team shot a combined four-under par, starting with a +2 in the first round and improving to six-under in the second. Ferris State is tied with Ashland University, trailing Tiffin University and Indianapolis by two strokes, both at six-under par.
Grand Valley State leads the competition with a 14-under total for the day, followed by host Findlay at -11 after 36 holes. Sixteen teams are competing in this annual event.
McCoy Biagioli from Ferris State is tied for seventh place individually with a score of 140 or four-under across the two rounds. He improved from a 74 in round one to an impressive 66 in round two.
Nathan Kraynyk is tied for 33rd place on the leaderboard with a total of 144 over two rounds. He shot even-par overall with scores of 74 and 70.
Caleb Bond scored a total of 145, shooting a 70 initially and then a 75, placing him at +1 and tied for 39th.
Zach Koerner achieved scores of 72 and 75 over his rounds, resulting in a total of 147 and tying him for 50th at +3 overall.
Adam Arif Madzri carded scores of 77 and then improved to a 71 for a total of 148, placing him at +4 and tying for 57th.
The final round will be held on Tuesday in Findlay.
