The Ferris State University men's golf team is performing well in the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional Championships, currently tied for fourth place heading into the final round. The event is taking place at KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma.
On Friday, May 10, the Bulldogs achieved a two-under-par 278 team score in the second round, resulting in an overall three-under-par 557 after two rounds. Ferris State shares its position with Henderson State and Missouri S&T as they prepare for Saturday's final round.
Harding leads the field at nine-under, followed by Grand Valley State at seven-under and Central Oklahoma at four-under. Only six strokes separate the top six teams among the 20 competing.
Individually, Ferris State's Caleb Bond and Nathan Kraynyk are tied for second place with totals of 135 each over two days. Bond scored a three-under 67 on Friday, while Kraynyk posted a two-under 68 on the par-70 course. Freshman McCoy Biagioli recorded a score of 69 and is tied for 17th place with a total of 139. Zach Koerner shot a 74 and stands tied for 86th at 148 overall. Drayton Cleaver also carded a 74 and ranks 106th.
The tournament features teams from both the Midwest and Central regions along with individual competitors. The top five teams and top two individuals not affiliated with advancing teams will move to the finals scheduled from May 21-25 at Orange Country National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Florida.
Ferris State has consistently performed well historically in this competition, having reached national stages multiple times since their runner-up finish in Kearney, Nebraska in 2017.
This marks the Bulldogs' continued presence in NCAA tournaments over nearly two decades—a testament to their consistent excellence in men's golf nationwide.
