Ferris State cross country teams compete at Lansing Invitational

Ferris State University's men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Lansing Invitational on September 22, 2023. The Bulldogs sent a group of younger athletes to compete alongside teams from various levels across the state.

The men's team finished seventh overall with 251 points. Ben Knuth led the Bulldog men, securing 44th place with a time of 27:38.9. Other notable finishes included Ben Degood at 63rd (28:25.3), Ethan Hamilton at 64th (28:28.5), Ty Pavlichek at 75th (28:43.4), Jonah Shephard at 89th (29:09.4), and Andrew Shafley at 94th (29:14.0).

On the women's side, Kiann Schmottlach placed 23rd with a time of 20:20.6, followed by Diana Candela in 28th place (20:29.4). Emily Plouff finished in 36th place (20:57.6) and Abigail Winkle secured the 98th position (23:00.9).

The Bulldogs are scheduled to compete again on September 30 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Kentucky.
