Ferris State men's golf concludes fall season with strong third-place finish

Ferris State University's men's golf team concluded their fall season with a commendable performance, securing third place at the Doc Spragg Invite in Findlay, Ohio. The event took place on Tuesday, October 17th, where the Bulldogs improved from a tie for fifth to finish at four-under par over 54 holes.

Grand Valley State claimed victory with a total of 23-under par, followed by host Findlay at ten-under. Sixteen teams participated in this competition.

Leading Ferris State was McCoy Biagioli, who tied for 16th individually with a score of two-under 214. He posted rounds of 74 and 66 on Monday and finished with another 74 on Tuesday. Nathan Kraynyk ended tied for 22nd with an even-par score of 216 across three rounds, including scores of 70 and 74 on Monday and a final round of 72.

Adam Arif Madzri delivered a strong final round with a score of 69, tying for 27th place at one-over par (217). His earlier rounds included scores of 77 and 71. Caleb Bond finished tied for 31st with a total score of two-over (218), recording rounds of 70 and 75 before closing with a round of 73.

Zach Koerner completed the tournament tied for the position at number fifty-three on the leaderboard, finishing seven-over par (223) after rounds of 72,75, and concluding with a round score of seventy-six.

The Bulldogs wrapped up their fall season successfully by achieving five consecutive top-three finishes in all their tournaments. This included winning one championship at their own B&R Investments Fall Classic held in Big Rapids in late September. They also secured two runner-up positions along with two third-place finishes during this period.

The team is set to resume its spring schedule for the academic year starting March next year.
