Ferris State men's golf team holds second place at Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational

The Ferris State University men's golf team demonstrated strong performance at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, recording a 290 overall team score in the first round. This placed them second overall as they head into the final round in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Ferris State opened the event at The Pearl Club with a score that trails only Missouri S&T by one stroke in a competitive 16-team field on the par 72 course. The Bulldogs finished two-over par for the initial round.

Leading Ferris State was Caleb Bond, who shot two-under par 70 and is tied for third individually. Zach Koerner followed with a score of 72, tying him for 11th place. McCoy Biagioli scored a 73, placing him tied for 14th on the leaderboard, while Nathan Kraynyk finished with a 75, tying him for 27th position.

Adam Arif Madzri carded a 77 in the first round and is tied for 41st place. Kole Putnam also participated individually and is tied for 68th after scoring an 81 over the first day.

The tournament continues Sunday morning at The Pearl Club starting at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
