Ferris State University's softball team secured a doubleheader sweep against Wayne State in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Tuesday at FSU Softball Field. The Bulldogs extended their winning streak to three games, defeating the Warriors 7-5 in the first game and 10-2 in five innings in the second.

In the opener, Ferris State took an early lead with five runs across the first two innings. Wayne State narrowed the gap with four runs in the fourth inning, but Ferris State responded with two more runs to seal a 7-5 victory. Alexis Kozlowski contributed three RBIs for FSU, while Abby Meyer added two hits. Ashley Webb pitched for three and two-thirds innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits. Rylie Haist claimed the win by pitching two and one-third innings, conceding one earned run on three hits. Izzy Regner completed the game with a save.

The second game saw Ferris State establish a strong start with seven runs over two innings. They later added three more runs in the fourth inning while holding Wayne State to only two runs on seven hits. Kozlowski again played a key role, driving in three runs on two hits. Emma Gillard and Maddie Gkekas also made significant contributions with multiple RBIs and hits.

Aryn Gallacher pitched all five innings of the second game for Ferris State, allowing two earned runs on seven hits while striking out four batters.

Ferris State will next face Davenport at home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
