Ferris State University's Kamryn Shannon has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. The announcement follows her performance at the Bill Crabtree Invitational, where she led her team to victory.

The event took place in Owensboro, Kentucky, on October 22-23. Shannon secured a runner-up position individually with an even-par score of 144 over two rounds. She recorded a score of 73 in the final round on Monday after starting with a one-under 71 on Sunday.

Shannon's performance was pivotal for Ferris State University as they achieved a six-stroke win over Maryville University in a field comprising 15 teams. This tournament concluded the fall season for the Bulldogs, who will resume their schedule in March for the 2023-24 campaign.
