Ferris State University's women's golf team concluded its participation in the NCAA East Regional Tournament on Wednesday, finishing in a tie for seventh place. The tournament took place at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. The Bulldogs ended the 54-hole event with a total score of 949, which placed them at +85 over three days.

The team was close to advancing to the national championships, finishing just seven shots away from a top-five position in the 15-team regional competition. "FSU lowered its score each round," starting with a 318 on day one, followed by a 316 on Tuesday and concluding with a 315.

Findlay and host Indianapolis shared first place with scores of +41. Grand Valley State finished third at +56, Ashland was fourth at +65, and Davenport secured fifth at +78. These five teams will move forward to the Division II championships. Missouri-St. Louis took sixth place at +83, while Ferris State and Gannon tied for seventh.

Dani Staskowski led Ferris State with a total score of 234, tying for 23rd overall after an 81 in the final round. Kamryn Shannon tied for 33rd with a final-round score of 75, totaling 238. Lizzie Anderson tied for 35th place with an overall score of 239 after carding an 80 on the last day. Hallie Crozier and Taylor Musselman both tied for 53rd overall, each finishing with scores of 247.

This appearance marked Ferris State's third consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament. In previous years, they finished seventh in Springfield, Illinois last season and placed eleventh two years ago at the East Regional Championships. The Bulldogs had a streak of thirteen consecutive NCAA appearances from 2002 to 2014.

Last year’s entry was as the GLIAC's automatic qualifier following their league championship victory during the spring season of 2023 in Augusta, Michigan. This year, Ferris State reached the conference semifinals back in mid-April also held in Augusta.
