Ferris State University's women's soccer team is set to compete against Northern Michigan University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Semifinals this Friday, November 10. The match will take place in Marquette, with Ferris State aiming to extend its season by overcoming the top-seeded host.
Ferris State entered the tournament as the fifth seed and advanced to the semifinals after defeating fourth-seeded Saginaw Valley State 1-0 on Monday. This victory marked their second win over SVSU on the road within five days.
The semifinal match between Ferris State and Northern Michigan is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern Time. The first semifinal will feature a contest between second-seeded Grand Valley State and sixth-seeded Parkside at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Winners from these matches will proceed to Sunday's final, which begins at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

This season, Ferris State has faced Northern Michigan twice, losing both encounters by narrow margins—2-1 in Big Rapids and 1-0 in the Upper Peninsula.

The team has reached the conference semifinals nine times over the past twelve years, including six consecutive appearances, and secured its first league tournament championship two years ago.
The GLIAC Tournament winner earns an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
