Ferris State University has announced the addition of three new recruits to its women's soccer program for the 2024 season. The team welcomes goalkeepers Korinne Ihrke from Oxford and Morgan Fillion from Westfield, Massachusetts, as well as defender Alivia Petri from Dakota. These athletes will join five others previously announced as part of this year's recruiting class.
FSU head coach Greg Henson expressed enthusiasm about the new additions, stating, "We're excited to add three more talented student-athletes to this year's class and look forward to having them on campus this fall." He added that they have secured a strong recruiting class that could further elevate the program.
In the previous season, Ferris State reached the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Semifinals for the sixth year in a row. They also made their 15th consecutive league tournament appearance and their 17th overall in program history. The Bulldogs' recent achievements include reaching the NCAA Division II Final Four last year.
With a strong core returning next season, including most of their starting lineup, Ferris State aims to build on past successes under Coach Henson's leadership. Since his tenure began, the Bulldogs have achieved milestones such as winning their first GLIAC regular-season title and league tournament championship and advancing to the national semifinals for the first time.
