The Ferris State University women's soccer team concluded its regular season with a 2-1 victory against Saginaw Valley State on Thursday afternoon. This win marked the 150th career victory for head coach Greg Henson. The Bulldogs, now holding a record of 6-8-4 overall and 4-7-3 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), are preparing for the upcoming GLIAC Tournament set to begin on Monday, November 6.

Lauren Kubacki was the goalkeeper for Ferris State during the match, making six saves and allowing one goal over 90 minutes. The Bulldogs took an early lead when Jessie Bandyk assisted Payton Price, who scored with her left foot at the 3:13 mark. This was Bandyk's third assist of the season.

Saginaw Valley State equalized in the second half with a goal from Sarah Frederick at 58:19. However, Katherine Welch secured the win for Ferris State by scoring from a penalty kick in the 77th minute after being fouled in the box. This was Welch's eighth goal of the season, placing her second in GLIAC for goals scored.

Ferris State recorded four corners, seven shots on goal, and committed 13 fouls during the game. Welch led her team with two shots on goal. Saginaw Valley had five corners, eight shots on goal, and committed ten fouls.

The Bulldogs will soon learn their opponent for the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals scheduled for Monday.
