Ferris State University's women's soccer team faced a narrow defeat against Michigan Tech in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match held in Houghton, Michigan. The Bulldogs were edged out 1-0 by the Huskies on Friday.

The loss brings Ferris State's record to 5-7-4 overall and 3-6-3 within the conference. Goalkeeper Lauren Kubacki of Ferris State was kept busy throughout the match, making seven saves from eight shots on target by Michigan Tech.

The decisive moment came at the 19-minute mark of the first half when Brooke Green scored unassisted for her third goal of the season, securing a victory for Michigan Tech.

Ferris State managed three shots on goal during the game, with two occurring in the second half. Payton Price, Jessie Bandyk, and Brinley Bell each contributed to these attempts for the Bulldogs.

Michigan Tech had six corner kicks compared to Ferris State's two. The game also saw a total of 31 fouls committed, with Michigan Tech responsible for 18 and Ferris State for 13.

Looking ahead, Ferris State will continue their road trip with an upcoming match against Northern Michigan scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
