The Ferris State University men's and women's golf teams achieved commendable placements at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational held in Kentucky over the weekend. The women's team secured second place, while the men's team finished third in their respective events.

The women's competition took place at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky. Ferris State's women ended with a total score of 625 over two rounds, placing them 12 strokes behind McKendree, the champions among 14 teams. Lizzie Anderson led the Bulldogs by finishing fifth overall with a score of 153 over 36 holes, including a final round of 76. Dani Staskowski tied for tenth with a score of 156, and both Kamryn Shannon and Hallie Crozier tied for seventeenth with scores of 158. Taylor Musselman finished tied for fifty-sixth with a score of 170. Competing as individuals, Abby Grevel tied for forty-eighth (167) and Hope Thebo also tied for fifty-sixth (170).

In the men's tournament held at Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Ferris State scored a combined total of 576 across two days. Indianapolis emerged victorious with a score of 564, followed by Missouri S&T at 575. Caleb Bond was the leading player for Ferris State, sharing sixth place with a score of 140. Nathan Kraynyk placed tenth (142), McCoy Biagioli shared thirteenth place (142), Zach Koerner tied for fifty-second (144), and Sam Havey tied for sixty-fifth (152). Competing individually were Shayne Beaufait and Kole Putnam who finished tied for sixty-fifth (152) and ninety-sixth (156) respectively.

Both teams are set to participate in upcoming tournaments at the Findlay Spring Invite; the women's team will compete on March 18-19 while the men will take part on March 25-26.
