Ferris State competes in GLIAC Championships hosted by Grand Valley State

The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete in the 2024 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The event will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 2-3, in Allendale, Michigan.

Grand Valley State University will host this annual league meet. Tickets for adults are priced at $10 per day, senior citizens at $7 per day, and youth aged 3-17 at $5. Children under the age of three can attend for free. Tickets are available for purchase online at gvsutickets.com.

The championships begin with multi-events on Wednesday, followed by field and running events starting Thursday with preliminary heats. Finals races on Friday will determine the champions.

All member schools of the league will participate in what is considered one of the most anticipated NCAA Division II meets nationwide.

The GLIAC meet kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday with the men's 100 meters in the multi-events. The main events start on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., while Friday's schedule begins with field events at 11 a.m., followed by track events at 12:10 p.m.

Scoring for individuals and relay events follows a format of 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for eight places.
