The Ferris State University men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Grand Valley State Big Meet, one of the largest collegiate events in the nation. The competition took place over the weekend at the Kelly Family Sports Center on the GVSU campus in Allendale, featuring student-athletes from various schools across different levels.

On Friday, Whitney Farrell from FSU secured seventh place in heat three of the women's 5,000 meters with a time of 17:53.42. Melanea Strauss finished 15th in heat four, recording a time of 18:33.13.

In men's events on Friday, Cooper Sorsen came second in heat six of the 5,000 meters (14:54.04). Ben Knuth placed fifth in heat ten (15:42.00), Ryan Ososki was tenth in heat nine (15:35.69), and Brendan Cairney achieved FSU's second-best overall time by placing 19th in heat five (15:35.56). Nathan Alford and Brandon Wirth also competed, finishing tenth and 22nd respectively.

Saturday saw more participation from FSU athletes. Abigail Winkle achieved sixth place overall in the women's 400 meters with a time of 57.83 seconds, while Danae Feldpausch finished 17th in the women's 800 meters at 2:17.45. Hanna Brock completed the mile run at a time of 5:09.65 for a 14th-place finish and later secured a tenth-place finish alongside Farrell who also competed in the women’s 3,000 meters.

FSU's team placed ninth in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a group consisting of Winkle, Feldpausch, Angela Kotecki, and Nyah Tyron clocking at 4:03.99 minutes. In field events, Claudia Wilkinson earned third place in high jump invite field clearing a height of five feet five inches while Rebecca Marvin was ranked fifteenth for her weight throw measuring forty-three feet five inches.
