Ferris State cross country teams compete at Lewis and Muskegon events

Ferris State University's men's and women's cross country teams participated in two separate events on Saturday, October 12, as part of their preparation for the upcoming Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships. The main group competed at the Lewis Conference Crossover event in Romeoville, Illinois, while other team members took part in the Muskegon Jayhawk Invitational in West Michigan.

In the women's race at Lewis, senior Hanna Brock led Ferris State by finishing 51st overall with a time of 22:17.90 on the 6K course. Whitney Farrell followed her teammate closely, securing 67th place with a time of 22:30.20. The competition featured over 330 runners.

For the men's team, Cooper Sorsen was Ferris State's top performer, placing 65th overall in the 8K event with a time of 25:00.60. Ryan Ososki was next for Ferris State, finishing in 136th place with a time of 25:35.30.

The results from the Muskegon Jayhawk Invitational are expected to be released soon.

Looking ahead, the Bulldogs will compete at the Saginaw Valley State Invite on Friday, October 18, in University Center, Michigan.
