The Ferris State University women's golf team advanced to seventh place on the final day of the Beall Fall Classic, which concluded on Tuesday at the Findlay Country Club in Ohio. The Bulldogs posted a 300 team score in the last round, finishing the 54-hole event with a total score of 909. Host Findlay won the competition with an 870, followed by Missouri-St. Louis at 882 in a field of 18 schools.
Ferris State began the tournament on Monday with a team score of 309 and recorded consecutive scores of 300 in each of the final two rounds.
Taylor Musselman led Ferris State individually, finishing in 13th place overall with a score of 222. She shot a round of 76 in the opening round, followed by scores of 73 in both subsequent rounds.
Lizzie Anderson finished tied for 19th with a total score of 226 over three rounds, carding a final-round score of 74 after posting scores of 77 and 75 in the first two rounds.
Kamryn Shannon tied for 28th place with a total score of 229. She recorded scores of 77 in the first round and then scored a consistent 76 in each of the last two rounds.
Kylie Walker moved up eleven spots during the final round to tie for 50th place with a total score of 235. She scored an initial round of 82, followed by scores of 76 and then improved to a final-round score of 77.
Hallie Crozier ended up tied for 67th at the tournament with an overall stroke total of 239. Her performance included shooting scores of: first-round -79; second-round -76; third-round -84.
Ashley Thomasma competed as an individual and placed in position sixty-one with an overall figure at238. She scored rounds: first-75; second-84; third-79.
The Bulldogs will next compete at Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite hosted by Grand Valley State from Saturday to Sunday (Oct.5-6) held Allendale Michigan before hosting their own Bulldog Fall Classic on Monday (Oct.7) at Katke Golf Course FSU.
