Ferris State cross country teams compete at MSU Spartan Invitational

The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Michigan State Auto-Owners Spartan Invitational on Friday, September 13, in East Lansing.

In the women's 6K race, Hanna Brock led the Bulldogs by finishing 27th overall with a time of 22:51.8. Whitney Farrell followed closely behind in 28th place, clocking in at 23:00.6. Other notable performances included Jessica Durkee in 51st place (23:40.4), Ella Kowatch in 64th (24:14.7), and Kaylee Huey in 66th (24:20.7).

For the men's team, junior Cooper Sorsen was the top performer, securing 39th place with a time of 25:57.8 in the 8K race. Ryan Ososki finished in 60th place (26:36.7), Gavin Vansolkema took 74th (26:57.4), Noah Griffith came in at 80th (27:11.7), freshman Zak Kimmel placed 87th (27:17.4), and sophomore Ben Knuth rounded out the upper half of the lineup at 92nd place (27:26.4).

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to Lansing for their next competition on September 20 at the Lansing Invite.
