FSU women's golf finishes seventh at Midwest Collegiate Championship

The Ferris State University women's golf team concluded its first fall season event with a seventh-place finish at the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Peru, Indiana. The tournament wrapped up on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Ferris State ended the competition with a cumulative score of +74 over 54 holes, including a final round score of +26. Findlay secured the team championship with a +11 total, followed by Missouri-St. Louis (+36) and Central Missouri (+38), rounding out the top three among the 16 competing teams.

Kamryn Shannon led Ferris State with a 12th place individual finish, scoring +10 across three rounds. She recorded scores of +5 in both the first and third rounds and an even-par score in the second round.

Lizzie Anderson followed closely behind with a total score of +11, tying for 14th place overall. Anderson's performance included matching scores of +2 in the first and last rounds and a middle round score of +7.

Kylie Walker finished tied for 32nd place with a total score of +20, marked by consistent scores of +7 in her initial two rounds and a final round score of +6.

Newcomer Ashley Thomasma tied for 58th place with a cumulative score of +33. Her performance included rounds of +11 and +9 on Monday, concluding with a final round score of +13.

Hallie Crozier finished in 66th place with an overall score of +36. Her scores were comprised of rounds at +15, following initial scores of +11 and +10.

Competing individually for Ferris State, Paige Anderson placed 57th with an aggregate score of +32, while Lauren Kempf tied for 61st overall with a total score of +34.

The Bulldogs will return to action at the Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio on September 30 and October 1.
