Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's basketball and softball teams have organized their second annual joint golf outing, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, at Katke Golf Course on the FSU campus. Alumni, fans, friends, and community members are invited to participate in the event to support both programs.

The outing will commence at 10 a.m. (ET) on Aug. 23. Online registration is available through the provided link or by visiting FerrisStateBulldogs.com for further details.

The participation fee is $100 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, and a post-round reception. While foursomes are preferred due to expected high demand, single players can also register early to secure a spot.

Throughout the day, Bulldog student-athletes will be present on the course with various games and interactions planned for participants.

Tee sponsorships are available at different levels: $125 for standard tee sponsorships; $200 for on-course engagement sponsorships; and $500 for corporate tee sponsorships that include a foursome. Additionally, there is an option to purchase a foursome with an on-course engagement sponsorship package for $550.

For more information or inquiries about the event, Cedric Frierson can be contacted at (231) 679-9852 or via email at CedricFrierson@ferris.edu.

This past year marked significant achievements for both teams. The Ferris State women's basketball team reached the NCAA Division II National Semifinals under head coach Kurt Westendorp while securing their first NCAA D2 Midwest Regional Championship and achieving a record-breaking 26-6 overall season.

Similarly, under second-year head coach Jake Schumann's leadership, the Bulldog Softball program concluded its season with 25 victories—the highest in eight years—and competed in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament despite having only one senior on their roster.
