Amy May, the Executive Director of Sales and Operations at Forge Industrial Staffing, has shared her experiences during her 29-year tenure at the company. In a profile press release on Forge's website dated January 17, 2024, May revealed that she had learned about the company's dedication to community impact and its commitment to employee and client satisfaction.

"From the beginning, Forge has always held a huge respect for both clients and our contingent workforce," said May, Executive Director of Sales and Operations, according to Forge. "Forge office hours were expanded to meet both client and worker needs. Our focus from the start has always been light industrial staffing. We didn't want to be a jack of all trades."

May started her career in the fitness industry before transitioning to staffing in 1995 as a staffing consultant. According to Forge's profile on her, she chose Forge because she was highly impressed with the owners' hands-on approach. "Forge was my top pick because I was so impressed with the owners and how hands-on they were with the company," May said. She described her interview as "genuine", which set it apart from other staffing companies she had interacted with.

The company's website mentions "Forge Cares", a program aimed at giving back to families and individuals in the community. It allows employees two days for their own volunteer efforts, including compensation for those who engage in community work on behalf of Forge.

In an interview published on Forge's website, May expressed her gratitude for being part of an organization that impacts many lives positively within their community. "I feel honored and blessed to be a part of an organization that helps make a difference in the lives of so many people in our community," she said. She added that Forge collaborates with multiple organizations annually to raise funds for those in need.

May also highlighted the hands-on approach of directors at Forge during her interview. "Directors are hands-on and travel to all markets to work with and build relationships with our employees so they can get to know us and feel comfortable growing at Forge," she stated.

Forge operates offices across Michigan and Indiana, including locations in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Warren, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Indianapolis. The founders of the company are Richard DeTamble and John Janisch.
