There were 43 American Indian students enrolled in Grand Rapids Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Data showed that Grand Rapids Public Schools welcomed 13,787 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian students made up 0.3% of the student body, making them the second least represented ethnicity in the district.
