CITY OF EAST GRAND RAPIDS: Invasive Species Work Days at Waterfront Park

City of East Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on Feb. 10.

A Park Volunteer Opportunity! We are looking for adult volunteers to help cut down and remove an invasive species, Buckthorn, along Waterfront Park. Kent Conservation District "Strike Team" will be on hand to treat the stumps as Buckthorn is removed.

Attire: long sleeve shirt and pants, gloves, protective eye wear and close toe footwear(no sandals).

We will meet on 2 dates. You may volunteer for all dates or as little as part of one date - very flexible!

February 15

March 14

Volunteers should meet at the Waterfront parking lot at 2206 Reeds Lake Blvd.
