Ferris State women's golf concludes fall season ninth at Saint Leo Invitational

Ferris State University's women's golf team ended its fall season by securing ninth place at the Saint Leo University Invitational in Dade City, Florida. The tournament concluded on Tuesday, October 21, and featured a strong field with eight of the nation's top 25 teams. Ferris State, currently ranked 18th nationally, finished with a three-round total score of 908.

The Bulldogs posted their best performance in the final round, recording a team score of 299. Senior Kamryn Shannon led Ferris State, tying for 16th place individually with a total score of 223 (+7). She opened with an even-par 72 and closed with a 74 (+2) in the last round.

Kylie Walker tied for 25th place with a score of 226 (+10), highlighted by an even-par 72 in her second round. Lizzie Anderson tied for 35th, bouncing back from an 81 in the second round to shoot a 73 (+1) in the final round.

Ashley Thomasma finished 48th overall, scoring 234 over three rounds, with her best performance—a 75—coming in the final round. Taylor Musselman tied for 53rd with a total score of 237, including a 78 on the last day.

The event was held at Lake Jovita Golf Country Club on a par-72 course that measured 6,132 yards.

Ferris State maintained a consistent record throughout the fall season, finishing among the top nine teams in all six tournaments, including two runner-up and two third-place finishes. The team will return to competition in the spring.
