The Ferris State University men's ice hockey program is set to host its 37th annual Bulldog Hockey Classic-Alumni Golf Outing on Saturday, August 5, at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan. This event serves as a significant fundraiser for the hockey program and has consistently attracted large numbers of participants over the years.

According to FSU head coach Bob Daniels, "We're so appreciative to all the alumni, fans and Blueline Club members who help support this great event each and every year." He added that the outing has evolved into an enjoyable weekend of activities. The event typically sees over 40 teams and 170 golfers participating on Katke Golf Course's championship course.

This year's outing will feature a four-person scramble format with an entry fee of $125 per individual. The fee includes golf, cart, dinner, and refreshments. Participants can also look forward to a variety of raffle prizes. For those interested in a shorter game, a nine-hole shotgun start is available at 9 a.m., including lunch and dinner.

Entries must be submitted by August 1 and checks should be made payable to Ferris State University. Registration forms have been mailed to past participants and are also available online. Additionally, companies or former players can sponsor a hole for $100.

For further information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, contact Associate Head Coach Drew Famulak at (231) 591-2887 or via email at famulakd@ferris.edu.

The Bulldogs have had notable success in recent years with three NCAA Final Eight appearances since 2012. They are preparing for their upcoming season as part of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).

Scheduled events include an alumni charity softball game on Friday evening followed by various activities throughout Saturday leading up to dinner and awards.
