Ferris State University is set to honor military personnel during their upcoming softball games this Saturday. The Bulldogs will face the Parkside Rangers in a crucial Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids.

The first game is scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by the second game at approximately 3 p.m. In recognition of Military Appreciation Day, Ferris State players will wear special camouflage jerseys. "All current active military members and veterans are encouraged to attend and admission is free," stated an announcement from the university.

Fans attending the games will have a chance to win prizes by answering military-related questions each inning.

Ferris State's softball team holds a 21-20 record overall and stands near the top of the GLIAC standings with a conference record of 9-7.

The weekend's events continue on Sunday when Ferris State hosts Purdue Northwest for Senior Day, with games also beginning at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
