Ferris State University's women's volleyball program is set to host winter training clinics this January. The sessions are designed for young athletes and will take place on Sunday afternoons, starting January 14.
The program offers two distinct clinics: the Volley Pups clinic for children in grades K-5 and a Development League for students in grades 6-8. Both events will be held at Bulldog Arena. Registration can be completed online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Camps.
Ferris State's volleyball team recently advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen for the third consecutive year. They also secured the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLAIC) Tournament Championship, marking their 12th consecutive and 27th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The team finished with a 27-8 record last season.
The Volley Pups clinic is scheduled from 1-2 pm on January 14, January 21, and January 28, with a cost of $100 for all three sessions. It aims to teach basic volleyball skills and fundamentals.
For older participants, the Development League will run from 2-4 pm on the same dates as the Volley Pups clinic. Priced at $130 for all three sessions, each meeting includes training followed by league play.
