The MI Legislature's passage of a nearly $1B supplemental spending plan includes $25M for a key Chamber Infrastructure priority - Fruit Ridge Bridge redevelopment.
This bridge crosses I96 in the City of Walker, Michigan. This obsolete bridge is an unsafe obstacle for one of the top areas of industrial growth in the region and transports a large amount of MI grown apples.
A special thanks to Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, Sen. Mark Huizenga, Rep. Carol Glanville, and Mayor Gary Carey for your support of this critical project!
The bill now heads to Governor Whitmer who is expected to sign the bill within the coming week.
