City of Rockford recently issued the following announcement.
We will be doing some utility repairs on Bridge Street starting around 7:30am today.
During this time Bridge St. will be closed to through traffic but open to businesses from the intersection of Spring/River to the intersection at Main. Our goal is to allow one lane of traffic around the dig site but we may need to fully close the street, if the work requires us to.
Please see the image below for for detours while we work. We are anticipating having the road back open to traffic by the end of the business day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
