GRPS Celebrates Alumni and First Responders
Grand Rapids Public Schools is kicking off the high school varsity football season with Ottawa Hills High School taking on Union High School in the “Crosstown Throwdown” on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 6:00 pm at the historic Julius Houseman Field, located at the corner of Fountain and Diamond streets.
The game is in honor of our alumni celebrating their 20th and 30th class reunions from Creston High School, Central High School, Ottawa Hills High School, and Union High School. This game will also recognize our dedicated first responders at the Grand Rapids Police Department, Grand Rapids Fire Department, EMTs, Kent County Sherriff’s Department, GRPS Public Safety, and the Michigan State Police.
