On Wednesday, Feb. 26, former Catholic Central High School standout Sam Schmitt’s current college team, the Salem Tigers, lost 9-6 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the California Vulcans.
The game took place at Wild Things Park. This was their first matchup against the Vulcans this season.
The Tigers’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 12 p.m. at Frank Loria Memorial Field against Walsh Cavaliers.
These former City of Grand Rapids area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, March 2.
