Ferris State men’s golf ties for 13th after day one at Citrus Intercollegiate

The Ferris State University men's golf team ended the first day of the Citrus Intercollegiate in a tie for 13th place. The tournament, held at Championsgate Golf Club in Championsgate, Florida, began on Monday and features 14 teams, including 11 that are nationally ranked. Ferris State is ranked #42 and is the only team from the North participating.

The Bulldogs posted a team score of 309 in the opening round. As play was halted during round two on Monday, their combined score stood at 593.

Individually, Ben Miller led Ferris State and was tied for 32nd with a +5 score. Kole Putnam followed, tied for 39th at +7. Michael Fenech finished the day tied for 51st (+9), Sam Havey was tied for 59th (+11), and Ethan Frost placed 72nd with a +17.
