One week from tonight is the 36th Annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration, a celebration featuring keynote speaker Cheryl Brown Henderson. Cheryl is the daughter of Rev. Oliver L. Brown, one of the parents responsible for the Brown v. Board of Education case that enabled the groundbreaking U.S. Supreme Court Case decision, making segregation in public schools unconstitutional. She is also Founding President of The Brown Foundation for Educational Equity, Excellence and Research, and owner of Brown & Associates, educational consulting firm.
