Ferris State University’s junior golfer Kamryn Shannon has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office on Friday.

Shannon’s performance led the Bulldogs to two second-place finishes last week. The team placed second at both the Gilda’s Club Laker Fall Invite in Allendale and the Bulldog Fall Classic at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids.

During the Laker Invite, Shannon shot a school-record tying 68 in the final round, securing all-tournament team honors with a runner-up individual finish. She followed this achievement with her first collegiate win at Ferris State’s home invite, posting scores of 74 and 75 for a total of +5 over two rounds.

The Bulldogs will conclude their fall season at the St. Leo Invitational in Dade City, Florida, on October 21-22.
