Ferris State University senior Kamryn Shannon was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women’s Golf Player of the Week on April 10. Shannon led the Ferris State Bulldogs to a third-place team finish at the NC4K Classic held earlier this week in Grove City, Ohio.
The recognition highlights her performance where she tied for third overall with a total score of 155 strokes, recording an opening round of 80 and improving to a 75 in the second round. Her efforts contributed to Ferris State finishing with a team total of 646 against a field that included fourteen schools.
This is the third time during the 2025-26 season that Shannon has received this weekly honor, having previously been recognized twice in the fall as GLIAC Player of the Week. The Bulldogs are set to compete next at the Missouri-St. Louis Spring Invitational scheduled for April 12-13.
