The following day, January 26, 2025, Scholten expressed her dedication to environmental advocacy. As Vice Ranking Member of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, she stated: “Water IS life, and I’m thrilled to continue advocating for clean water and waterways for it on @transportdems as Vice Ranking Member of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee. On January 27, 2025, in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Scholten reflected on the importance of remembering those who perished during the Holocaust. She urged continued efforts against antisemitism with her message: “On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the over six million people who were killed during the Holocaust. As we honor them, we must continue our fight against antisemitism and hate to ensure that the horrors of the Holocaust are never minimized or forgotten.”
